Okay, so I used to get SO bored at the gym because I'd just run out of things to stare at; so I'd find myself judging other people, which is ridiculous because I looked far from perfect, panting away on the treadmill going 3 mph. I have a few suggestions for people like me:
1. Try a class! I have done kick boxing, zumba and weight lifting classes, all of which kept me very entertained. They're all really fun, plus the teacher usually supervises to make sure you're doing everything properly. I actually think that with all of my other classmates around, I get a better workout because I want to make sure I don't embarrass myself! Classes can run at a higher cost than your average gym membership; so if I can't afford a class, I follow along with a workout video at home. They are great too, especially if you have a wide variety; you can do a different one every day. There are lots of o ptions in stores and even online. |
2. Weather permitting, work out outside. Going for walks or r
uns outside guarantees a change in scenery. You definitely won't be looking at the same old workout machines that you see at the gym day after day! 3. For cardio, you can also try things like dancing. I do it all the time in the comfort of my own bedroom lol. I mean, who doesn't like to have a dance party when nobody's watching? I also enjoy jumping rope. You can change the intensity by going different speeds. It can get tiring, but I really like the challenge! |
